Simple and effective.
This app does all that its promised too! I installed remotesnap on both my ipodtouch 4 gen and my macbook pro. The only downside is you have to open the app on your phone and snap the picture in the app directly, you cant just press the camera button on your device. but overall its a good concept, and its free. btw, i have my own private wifi network, so I wouldnt suggest doing this on a public network, because the pictures you take could be seen or sent to anyone.
The free version on the iPhone is adding the logo of the app in all images... I am also waiting to be able to trigger the photo from the mac. That will be cool!
what happened to my app its not working if i will send pictures from my album to my mac?
I tried many wireless solutions, this one is working fine for me. The simplest I found. Next update will allow turning Flash on. Otherwise it doest what its supposed to do, without trouble.
It sends it to my MBP
I was hoping there would be apps that would work with my iphone.
It runs ok. It seems to take a while to send the imate to my mbp and I cant take another image while its transfering. Also they mention you can use it as a wireless webcam, but see no means to make that happen. Ill update my review and score when these are addressed.
I was hoping for a possible way to stream realtime from my iPhone to the computer. There doesnt seem to be an option on the iPhone app to do so. Just send snapshots.
I dont know why, but when I read the description on my iphone I "ASSumed" that you could "sync" your entire camera roll using this app and it is NOT the case. "Did you ever wish you could send photos directly to your computer without having to plug in the cable and sync through Itunes?" That was what the description read. You can only sync the photos you take through this app so I, personally, have no need to sit at or near my computer/and take photos around me. Definitely a mistake on my end for not reading clearly, but thought it was worth mentioning to anyone else like me :)
Id really love to be able to SNAP the photo remotely from my Mac, for use as a baby monitor for example. I dont even know if thats possible, but id love that feature.
App works fine as stated. I just thought it would upload all your pictures into your Mac. Also, the pictures you take do not get saved into your ipod. Very good App though!
Very convient! although i dont see how you can use your iphone as a webcam but not having to e-mail pics back and forth will make life easier...
It does work, but I have to exit the app on my iphone then open again to take another picture most of the time. A couple of times it let me take 4 pictures in a row. Like other reviews I dont see how to make my iphone a wireless web cam. It would be great if you could tie into the built in features of the camera, such as zoom, flash and video. Over all it works half way and it has great potential.
the light version is useless since it watermarks the photos.
For some reason the people who have reviewed this are rating it poorly because they cant seem to read. If you take the time to read the apps description, no where does it say that you can sync your camera roll, stream video, or any of the other features that the other reviewers rated this badly for. It works well, and as expected- shoot a photo on your iPhone, and it sends it to your Mac. It works well and is simple- the one suggestion I have is that the developer makes it so the app on the iPhone doesnt force you to relaunch it every time you want to take a photo. Otherwise, great app!
these basterds are so terrible at making apps. i want my money back apple please delete this app. never worked!!!!!
And I cant trash it. OSX insists its in use, even after a restart. What gives?
..but it seems to work. I needed something that would take *all* the photos from my phone and put them on my computer.
